We have been a custom outdoor living design and build firm since 2001, and our initial in-home design consultation is all about you.

The time to get to know you
Our sales professionals are people persons. They have a passion for what they do, including getting to know clients to discern their true needs for a new outdoor living space. Our in-home design consultations are schedule in one-hour intervals, but more often last longer. We will arrive at your home after an initial telephone conversation, with product samples and a portfolio of prior projects to pique your design interest and showcase our capabilities. We will not only answer your questions, but we ask you important questions too. This helps us make proper recommendations for your new porch or deck, whether they be design or product suggestions.
The time to educate you about building products
Archadeck of Kansas City has vast experience with specialty building products, such as composite and PVC decking choices and outdoor fireplace components. We can give you pros and cons about different outdoor building products. For instance, we will explain why we choose to use only PetScreen® for our screened porch designs, and why our standard finished porch ceiling is not beadboard, but pine tongue and groove. We’ll illustrate the differences in building a pergola versus a porch roof.
The time to get to know your home & property
We will walk with you around your property to get an idea of the size and shape of your new porch or deck – or porch and deck. This too, will help us notice any potential precautions that must be taken prior to building, or to make special provisions in our design to accommodate your yard. This could mean we determine that your yard will require back-filling before construction can begin, or it could simply mean that we make a special recommendation for your deck stair location for easy access to your yard.

The time to create an architectural design
After our in-home sales consultation, or satisfaction consultation, as it were, an Archadeck of Kansas City designer will create an architectural drawing of your new outdoor living space. With it will be an itemized building product specification, listing all of the products that will be used to build your new outdoor living area. Additionally, you will receive a to-the-penny quote for your completed project. You will not be held to any design or cost decisions until you have agreed, and signed your building contract.

The time to get your project permitted
With Archadeck of Kansas City, you will not have to worry about acquiring proper permitting for your outdoor living project. We do all of that for you!
